    Caring for aging parents

You want the best for your loved ones, but nobody has ever taught you how to care for your aging parents, or shown you all the ways you can advocate for them.

    How Can Caregiver Coaching Help?

Our coaching services gives you guidance on how to best support your parents or loved ones. Whether they are near or far from you, living in an assisted facility or living independently, coaching can help you cope with the complexities of caring for aging parents.

Drawing from years of experience working with seniors, we deal with some big issues, like loneliness and caregiver burn-out, to the smaller details that can make a big difference in a senior’s life, like having access to reading glasses or hearing aids. We will also help build caregiving and check-ins to a realistic routine that prevents you from becoming overwhelmed.

    • Address feelings of guilt & establish self-care

Guilt is a normal feeling when it comes to loved ones transiting into the later stages of their lives. We can help you navigate these challenges, ensuring that you’re also taking care of yourself.

    • Care for & check in with loved ones from a distance

It can be challenging caring for an older loved one when you don’t live near each other. Learn how you can be there for them, even from a distance, and how to use local services for extra support.

    • Advocating for your loved ones

We’ll help you develop best practices and a checklist for ways you can advocate for your older loved ones.

They don’t want to ask for help, but you know they need it.

You may notice your aging parents wanting to speak with you more often, but they won’t talk about themselves or communicate what they need or what’s troubling them.

    Caregiver coaching can help you:

    • Navigate difficult conversations about their needs as they grow older

    • Build structure into your caregiving routine

    • Learn about activities and programs that can keep your loved ones busy and fulfilled in their day-to-day
